Almost there.....

All systems are go!  We are on a glide path to slab, AND, the septic permit was issued last week so we are on our way to major infrastructure completion.

The race is on to get that system in before bigger rains, and to get the slab poured as well.  We are looking at a few weeks of good weather so no imminent threats of rain...so far.

The patio footings have been poured and are awaiting filling.  The guy in the yellow shirt in these images has more upper body strength than I have in my whole body...he holds, directs, lifts that hosing FILLED with concrete and moves it where it needs to go with such precision...

Those are just the footings.  The patio sections need to be filled with sand, rock, fabric just like the main house pad.  Before all that can be finalized, including the main pad, the plumbing had to be dropped in and stubbed up above the level of the final slab pours.

Look at all the piping in this picture!  This 1000 sq ft home has three sinks, one toilet, a shower, a hot water heater and a washing machine needing water and wastewater connections.  It looks like the london tube map to me!!!  😂

There'll be another inspection of the utilities (water and elec) on Monday, then final fill and rebar are installed and the slab pour should be Thursday of next week!  The patios will follow, either the day after or soon...

An update on the shell delivery, we had to bump it to the week of December 4.  Knowing the when lets us plan all the subsequent steps but...don't tell anyone, I could be living in this house by March!  😲

In the meantime, the latest quote on the port-a-potty:

Until next week....thanks for glancing in this direction and coming along for the ride. 💓
