Until the rain came....

Yesterday, the weather forecast said rain would start at 7am but the crew policy is show up and decide based on reality.   The morning forecast said it wouldn't start till 11am...so we showed up!

I drove Jeff to the site and we arrived at 7:45 am...and the team already had the last panel in place! 

Now, she is whole.

With that task complete, they prepped for installing the roof trusses.  First task was to nail boards to the top of the panels, that have notches in them to receive the trusses, and get the center pole and column set.

With that braced, they added the collar to which the trusses will be anchored and set.

First glimpse of the apex of the roof!  Next, they began to set the trusses...BY HAND!

From here on out, they fill in with other trusses...but, this is when the rain came so we quit for the day.  All of that happened in under 3 hours!
